Did you know the Childrens Attention Home is operating almost $53,000 under budget this year? With a tough economy many budgets have been cut and operating expenses diminished. When it is a charity organization though that cares for kids in our community though it is a tough thing to swallow.
This year we decided to start a new event with all the proceeds going to the Childrens Attention Home. It is the 1st Annual Gold Hill Wellness Family Jam and occurs on April 24th which is Child Abuse Awarness month. Our goal is to raise as much money as possible for the CAH and we could use your help. There will be all kinds of activities for $1 that kids can do, such as rock climbing walls, bouncy pits, dunk tanks and a drunk driving course.
To make this event even better we have 4 rock and roll bands that are donating their time to play for charity. While you are enjoying food and drinks and listening to music outside there will be 40+ Health and Wellness related vendors with great information for anyone looking to improve their health.
We have teamed up with the City of Tega Cay, Tega Cay Parks and Recs and the Charlotte Knights, to make this an entire day of fun. There will be free parking available at the Charlotte Knights Stadium in the tailgate section and free shuttles running all day back and forth to and from the Fam Jam.
So come out and enjoy some great bands and family fun at the fam jam, then head back to the stadium for Tega Cay's Charlotte Knights Baseball evening and enjoy a great game. The event is from 11-5 on April 24th at 1520 Onyx Ridge, Fort Mill, The huge area across from Knightsbridge community and next to the Four Seasons Club house.
